The idea of Munguia (student of Universidad Tecnológico de Monterrey) came from a paper, which mentioned the production of chemicals from nuts. Munguia decided to test the seeds of avocado, an available fruit with extremely abundant local production.. After 6 months of research he came up with a new type of plastic with a decomposition time after use of 240 days or maybe longer depending on the amount of bacteria in the environment, when decomposed, it will become CO2, humus, H20.
Bioplastics also have strict medical standards, so users do not need to worry about health problems when using products made from bioplastics.
The introduction of bioplastics meets the demand for environmentally friendly products and the trend of limiting single-use plastic products such as plastic bags, straws, cups... This is an inevitable cause because Plastic waste is having a negative impact on human life and the Earth, because the decomposition time of traditional plastic is very long, averaging 100-1000 years. Therefore, the study of natural materials and the application of bioplastics to life is a very necessary solution to protect the environment.
