Compostable Resins

Compostable Resins

What are compostable bioplastics?

Compostable bioplastic pellets are innovative materials made from bio-based or biodegradable polymers. They are engineered to fully decompose under controlled composting conditions in accordance with international standards such as EN 13432, ASTM D6400.

During the composting process, the material breaks down into CO₂, water, and biomass, leaving no microplastics or toxic residues in the environment.

🧪 Material Composition

HALE Bioplastics’s compostable pellets are high-performance compounds featuring key essential components:

• PLA (Polylactic Acid) A bio-based polymer derived from corn starch or sugarcane. It provides excellent stiffness, clarity, and dimensional stability for industrial manufacturing.
• PBAT A biodegradable polymer with high flexibility, blended to improve toughness, elongation, and overall processability for film and molding applications.

♻️ Key Applications
