1. What is Bio-starch?
Bio starch is a material created from a combination of traditional PP/PE and starch (cassava), so it is capable of degrading into H20, CO2 and biomass, helping to reduce the amount of plastic waste, limiting the amount of plastic waste, environmental pollution control.
2. HLB offers 2 lines of bio-starch:
- Bio starch ~35%
- Bio starch >50%
- Master batch with bio content up to 80%
3. Characteristics of bio-starch granules:
- Density: 1.06 g/cm3
- Melting temperature:2800C
- Melt flow index (230°C/2.16 Kg): 11g/10 min
- Color: Beige
- Smell: slight starchy
- Safe in contact with food
- Application of injection molding, extrusion, film blowing techniques
- Preserved in dry, cool place
4. Application of bio starch granules
Bio starch granules apply film blowing, extrusion and injection molding technology to produce finished products such as trays, knives, spoons, forks, straws…helping to reduce single-use plastic waste.
